Our commitment to accessibility extends beyond the services we provide.

We want every part of what we do to be as accessible as we can make it.

Our web designers 3rd Sector Tech specialise in creating websites that meet the W3 Consortiums: Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1).

Our website has been certified with an AA rating.

This means where possible we have made every attempt to ensure that our website content is compatible with a broad range of assistive technology.

Measures to support accessibility

Disability Assist take the following measures to ensure accessibility of their website:

  • Include accessibility as part of our mission statement.

  • Include accessibility throughout our internal policies.

  • Appoint an accessibility officer and/or ombudsperson.

  • Assign clear accessibility goals and responsibilities.

  • Employ formal accessibility quality assurance methods.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define the requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities.

It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

Disability Assist's website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA.

Partially conformant means that some parts of the content may not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

Additional accessibility considerations

Although our goal is WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance, we have also applied some Level AAA Success Criteria:

  • Images of text are only used for decorative purposes.
