Effective Letter-Writing

Writing a letter to explain your situation may feel complicated at times, particularly when you are experiencing difficulties or are feeling frustrated about a situation.  Whether you are contacting us, particularly as part of our Advocacy Service, or want to write to another organisation, it is likely that you will need to write a letter to explain your circumstances.  It need not be a complicated process and we have created a guide to help you to write letters more effectively.

There are a number of other guides available online which may also be useful, please find some suggestions below:

Citizens Advice has several template letters for services and organisations that we do not communicate with: https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/consumer/template-letters/letters/

The Advocacy People’s website has template letters for NHS and Social Care complaints: https://www.theadvocacypeople.org.uk/self-help-information-pages
