Disability Assist awarded key contract by Kent County Council

Updated: May 23, 2022

Disability Assist relaunched earlier this month during an exciting period of growth for the charity, which has seen us being awarded a key contract by Kent County Council to deliver wellbeing support to people with a Physical Disability. The contract will provide opportunities to reach even more people and to explore new ways of helping.

Sophie Fournel, CEO, explains, “It is great to see Kent County Council taking a proactive approach to recognising and supporting people with disabilities. The level of help anyone with a long-term health condition needs varies depending on the individual but working together will allow us to help more people while continuing to evolve our services as needs change, particularly as the impact of the past couple of years on disabled people becomes clearer.”

The service we offer is tailored to the individual’s needs, from providing light guidance to find information for yourself to more complex cases which involve supporting with multiple aspects of life. We welcome referrals from professionals working within the community, as well as friends and family who know someone that may benefit from getting in touch with us. Simply click on the button to fill in a referral form and we will take it from there.

We cover the whole of Kent and will be partnering with Kent Association for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus (KASBAH) and DIAL to deliver services to residents of North West Kent, including Dartford, Swanley and Gravesham.
